Editing Policy
Read before submitting
your work!
Any work longer than 10,000 words will be considered
book-length and therefore fall under the MANUSCRIPT
heading and fees schedule.
Fees must be paid in cash or check upon editor's
ACCEPTANCE of your work and NOT on completion of edit.
Manuscripts must be complete and double-spaced. No
partial manuscripts will be accepted for editing.
Short Stories must be complete and double-spaced.
Each edit will consist of a thorough red-penning of the
work with an accompanying "comment sheet" further
explaining edits, notes and suggestions made by the
editor (Michael A. Wolf).
The edit style is a "non-dry" line-edit, and gives the
author clear direction and helpful assistance. The edit
is not simply grammar/punctuation correction, nor an
exercise in praise of the author's writing ability. All
edits are reliable and candid, with an eye toward making
the work more marketable. Please contact
wolfwriters@gmail.com for any further information.
Following the edit, one email consultation/comment
session is welcome, but DO NOT deluge the editor with
suggestions, work samples, fixes, complaints or similar,
as these will be considered re-edits, and billed as
such.
